Full Job Description
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the neonatal team based at The Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath. This is an 8 bedded special care unit led by a team of Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners. You will be expected t work alongside the nursing team to provide excellent care to our families. There is an expectation that some cross site working at the Trevor Mann Baby Unit in Brighton will take place to meet the needs of the service. You should be a qualified or near to qualifying nurse associate who is keen to work with families and neonates. We will offer ongoing training and support for professional development. We welcome applications from those who currently hold a UK NMC registration. If you currently hold an overseas nursing qualification and require sponsorship we are not currently direct hiring Internationally Qualified Nurses. Main duties of the job Summary of details include:
- Effective communication
- Work within your NMC Code of Professional Conduct
- Participate in discussions working with multidisciplinary teams
- Follow Health and Safety targets and Infection Prevention procedures
- Maintain awareness of evidence base and best practice in nursing care
- Provide best clinical care
- Accurate and clear documentation
- To continue with continuous learning and development., Be responsible for delivering high quality, patient centred, compassionate care under the leadership and direction of a Registered Nurse (or other registered care professional dependent on setting) working within all aspects of the nursing process, providing high quality holistic and person-centred careto individuals.
- Support the registered nurse in the assessment, planning and evaluation of care with focus on promoting health and independence.
- Carry out specific clinical and care tasks and responsibilities to a high standard and competency, under the leadership and direction of a registered nurse or other registered care professionals dependent on setting.
- Have proficient attitudes and behaviours compatible with NHS Values.
- Be an accountable professional.
- Work as part of a designated clinical and care team delivering care that focuses on the direct needs of the individual.
- Have the ability to work without direct supervision, at times delivering care independently in line with the individuals defined plan of care, within the parameters of practice of the Nursing Associate role, accessing clinical and care advice when needed.
