Full Job Description
Lead and deliver comprehensive adult Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnostic assessments, ensuring safe, person-centred care that aligns with ADOS best practice standards, alongside the production of clear, accurate, and high-quality clinical documentation. This role has been created to support the growing demand for high-quality, timely adult ASD diagnostic services. It plays a key part in ensuring individuals receive accurate assessments and appropriate clinical outcomes, improving access to specialist care and reducing waiting times. The postholder will contribute to maintaining clinical excellence, consistency, and compliance with best practice standards, while enhancing the overall quality and efficiency of the service.,
- Complete structured diagnostic ASD assessments, including history, impairment, co-morbidity and risk.
- Use service standard tools and collateral, and provide clear feedback and written plans.
- Present complex cases at MDT; contribute to audit, incident reviews and quality improvement.
- Maintain contemporaneous records and complete letters on the day.
- Support induction and teaching for colleagues. About us Vertis Health is a GP-owned organisation in Primary Care Worcestershire. We deliver safe, evidence-based community services through clinician-led teams, robust governance, and practical, data-driven improvement. About the Services The services currently include:
- Adult ADHD assessment and ongoing clinical reviews, with medication titration delivered underappropriate prescribinggovernance and shared care with GPs where agreed.
- Adult ASD diagnostic assessment pathway delivered through an MDT model.
- Children and Young People (CYP) ADHD an assessment and diagnosis pathway (with onward treatment and medication pathways subject to commissioning and wider system arrangements).
- Children and Young People (CYP) ASD a diagnostic assessment pathway delivered through a multidisciplinary model, aligned to national guidance and local commissioning arrangements. The postholder is expected to work within the commissioned scope and agreed clinical governance arrangements, contributing to pathway improvement without over-promising provision outside current remit.
