The role also involves supporting a busy community nursing teams answering calls to both patients and other services both inside and outside of the Trust.There will be times when additional duties maybe needed such as ordering stock items (dressings), make sure that the care plans are made up and correct with all the updated paperwork.To ensure that all information taken is accurate due to the importance with the service that is being provided, The positions of admin support to work across all the Community Nursing teams giving administrative support. You may also be required tosupport the community nurse team and other services within the community.This is to be a flexible role working and rotating across the community nursing teams based throughout the Wirral. We are looking to recruit a team of admin support (Band 2) to work with the community nurse Team who is committed to delivering a high qualityof administrative support, to work within the Wirral Community Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust.This is an opportunity to join a new team being set up to support community nursing admin who work alongside our district nursing teams.The hours will be 21.5 hours per week over 3 days and 16 hours per week over 2 days and will be discussed in more detail at interview.The role will involve being flexible in moving across the community nursing teams were additional support is needed, answering phone calls with patient queries and referring to relevant people. Also helping in other admin and clerical duties.Excellent organisational and time management skills are essential as is the ability to work proactively. We are seeking team players andindividuals who possesses excellent communication skills both written and verbal and be able to work autonomously and/or as part of a team. You must be proficient with Microsoft applications.When considering applying for this post, it is crucial that you meet all of the essential requirements of the person specification. Full training will be given and SystmOne knowledge would be an advantage but not a necessity., Qualifications & Professional Training Essential

  • NVQ level 2, GCSE Level or equivalent experience
  • Desirable
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of microsoft packages incl Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Experience & Knowledge Essential
  • Previous experience of dealing with the public and taking telephone enquiries
  • Experience of accurate data inputting, Good oral and written communication skills with people from a wide variety of backgrounds
  • Ability to communicate sensitively with all staff groups, patients and their families
  • Ability to produce work of a high standard with attention to detail
  • Desirable
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, Patient
