We are seeking to appoint two highly motivated Teaching Assistants to join our enthusiastic team of professionals.
You will perform a key role in supporting children's learning in all its aspects. You will be required to work with targeted groups and or classes and must have a good understanding of the principles of child development and learning processes.
Malvin's Close is a friendly, happy, vibrant school located in Blyth. Our youngest children are just three years old and can learn with us all the way up to Year Six (aged 11). We have an amazing teaching team and are very proud of how together, with our pupils, parents, governors and staff, we are a community of learners that grow together with the children at the very centre of everything we do. Our curriculum, outdoor provision and teaching is personalised to meet the needs and interests of our pupils and through our wealth of teaching expertise we celebrate all aspects of the National Curriculum with children and in the learning environment.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold a relevant Level 3 Childcare or Teaching Assistant qualification (or willingness to work towards).
- Minimum requirements are grade 4 (C) in Maths and English at GCSE.
- Be experienced in working with children.
- Confidently support colleagues during the wraparound care sessions.
- Be enthusiastic, resourceful and keen to ensure that the highest possible standards of physical and personal development and well-being are achieved.
- Have good numeracy, literacy and communication skills.
- Have some knowledge of different programmes or activities that could be used with a range of ages simultaneously.
- Have the ethos and philosophy to build good relationships with children and parents.
- Support daily routines in a stimulating and creative setting and help to provide rich experiences for our children.
- Have a commitment to safeguarding and well-being of children.
- Be able to use ICT to support learning.
