Teaching Assistant

Salary: Scale C-D £6,843 - £7,879 (£15,238 - £17,547 pro rata)
20 hours per week, term time only
Permanent
Starting April 2017

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a teaching assistant to join our committed and hardworking team at Jane Austen College.

The successful candidate will need the flexibility and experience to work with student of varying ages in both one-to-one and small group situations as well as supporting the teacher in whole class lessons. The appointee should be able to work effectively as part of a team, follow the direction of the teachers as well as be able to think for themselves, and take the initiative when necessary.

The successful appointee will be an inspirational practitioner who is passionate about raising achievement through motivating and inspiring students, who will also contribute to the vision and values of the school. Candidates need to have a minimum of GCSE grade C for English and maths or equivalent. Experience of working with students with special educational needs would be of benefit, however training will be provided as necessary.
