The Broads National Park is an internationally important and protected wetland environment. The area is of special value for its wildlife and landscape beauty and for its important navigation interest.
This is an exciting opportunity working at a Senior level across the organisation to guide and direct the Authoritys approach to internal/external communications to a wide variety of audiences.
You will provide practical advice and support to the Chief Executive and Management Team in respect of PR, public affairs, publicity issues on a day-to-day basis and event management, whilst also fostering good relationships with the media and the Authoritys key external stakeholders locally and nationally.
You will lead the Authoritys Communications Team which encompasses Design and Information, Visitor Services, Website, Social Media, Press and PR, Education as well as the Authoritys reception. You will be the lead contact for the Authority with Broads Tourism, an active collection of Broads businesses involved in marketing and promoting the area to visitors.
Applicants must have experience in leading a team and dealing with media handling and PR. Political awareness, excellent interpersonal skills and presentational skills are required.
