Caretaker (Evenings)

Hours: 35 per week 1.00 pm until 9.00 pm

May be required occasionally on weekend
Grade: 3 - Salary: £18,045 - £19,182 (include LW)

Required for immediate start or as soon as possible

We are looking for a highly motivated School Caretaker for an immediate start.
Applicants should be hard working, friendly and flexible with a good work ethic. Previous caretaking experience isn't essential
but a good understanding of a school's requirements would be an advantage.

Responsibilities will include:
Carrying out day-to-day maintenance and repairs
Making sure that heating, lighting and alarm systems are working properly
Making sure that doors and windows are locked when the building is not in use
Checking the premises to guard against vandalism or break-ins
Porterage duties
Ordering cleaning materials
Cleaning and grounds maintenance

Interested applicants should have:
An awareness of health, safety, security and hygiene issues.
Excellent practical skills.
A positive attitude to team work and the flexibility needed for working in a school environment.
Self-motivation and the ability to work unsupervised.
Physical fitness
A full valid UK driving license and be able to drive a van
Experience of working with ladders
Basic computer skills
