Business Development Administrator
Location: Harpenden, Herts
Rothamsted Research mission is to undertake world-class research to deliver knowledge, innovation and new practices for agriculture. The Knowledge Exchange and Commercialisation (KEC) Office supports Rothamsted's mission by providing professional support in contracts, intellectual property, business development and industry liaison.
Due to additional support from our major funder Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC), we now require a Business Development (BD) Administrator to support our work in developing and maintaining links with industry and other key stakeholders.
Reporting to the Head of KEC, the BD Administrator will undertake a range of administrative and clerical duties including: organising events and visits, maintaining our visits and CRM database, maintaining the KEC website, and preparing and maintaining marketing materials. The role will involve working with Rothamsted colleagues and external stakeholders to support our knowledge exchange activities, and to help organise meetings and events.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in clerical and administrative support work, preferably within a research and/or agricultural environment. This position will require an individual with good interpersonal skills, a demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with multiple stakeholders and good organisational ability. We seek candidates who are self-motivated and capable of working independently.
This appointment is a one year full-time with the possibility of extension, depending on funding levels, with a starting salary between £18,841 and £24,225 per annum depending on experience. Rothamsted Research, Harpenden Site is located within commuting distance of Central London.
