You will be required to assist with: all aspects of the preparation, cooking and presentation of food for our traditional, gastro-pub style menus and Sunday lunch service; stock ordering and replenishment; checking food deliveries and ensuring appropriate storage requirements are adhered to; maintaining hygiene standards and undertaking workplace cleaning routines (including the washing up of associated kitchen equipment).
Hours of work - 40 hours per week, varying shift patterns including early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Qualifications & Skills required - a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade D or above (or the equivalent qualifications) to include English and Maths. Some previous catering experience would be beneficial.
Training via Gt Yarmouth College leading to a City & Guilds Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Professional Cookery (QCF)
City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Hospitality and Catering Principles (Professional Cookery) (QCF)
City & Guilds Level 1 Functional Skills qualifications in English and Maths
Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS)
Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR)
