Apprentice Support Worker 

Location -

North Walsham

Working in a day service for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.  
Duties to include: 
Assisting with Personal Care
Assisting members in daily activities
Helping users to access the community
Completing daily reports
Follow care plans
Assisting with housekeeping duties
Supporting other members of staff
Following company ethos, policies and procedures

Hours of work - 35.5hrs per week, variable shift patterns worked

Qualifications & Skills required - A minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade D or above (or the equivalent) to include English and Maths. Should have basic computer skills.and good communication skills with a good telephone manner.

Training via Gt Yarmouth College leading to the Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Health and Social Care.
NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care.
City & Guilds: Level 1 Functional Skills in English, Level 1 Functional Skills in Maths.
Edexcel Award in Employer Rights in Health, Social Care Children & Young Peoples Services.
Personal Learning and Thinking Skills.
to be achieved over an 18 month period.
