Farms Building and Engineering Works Manager

Based in Diss, however the estate farms are throughout Norfolk and Suffolk

Due to retirement Green Label Poultry and Farms are looking to employ a Farms Building and Engineering Works Manager.

The aim of this role is to deliver a construction, engineering, maintenance and repair service to all areas of the farms estates in an efficient, timely and cost effective way. To project manage development and refurbishment projects, incorporating building, plumbing and engineering works throughout the farms estates.

Responsibilities to include but not be limited to: Responsible for the building engineering and construction function throughout the farm estates.Develop the teams to include the provision of relevant training to facilitate learning. Show Strong leadership skills.

To ensure all farms buildings, surrounds and services are maintained in a serviceable state to minimize down time for production units.

Manage and control stock requirements. Identify and implement improvements, driving a culture of continuous improvement.

To regularly visit the sites to pre view and review jobs and plan ahead. Ensure all employed engineering and building staff and contractors follow all company policies to include hygiene, health and safety and bio-security regulations.

Project Management, capital projects from concept through to completion.

Monitor and manage site KPIs, ensuring these are met. To promote safe working practices and take appropriate action where breaches occur.

To provide an effective response to planned maintenance and breakdowns. To carry out any other tasks relating to facilities and buildings management as the company may reasonably require.

Project Management

Deliver installation, refurbishment and construction/building projects from inception to completion managing budgets, contractors, internal staff and end users.

The person we are looking for will be experienced in a similar role and should have relevant qualifications.
