Summary

LATCH Welsh Childrens Cancer Charity supports children and young people under the care of the Paediatric Oncology and Haematology Unit at the Childrens Hospital for Wales. We provide vital emotional support, practical help, financial grants, family breaks, accommodation, and much more. In 2024, LATCH supported over 155 families and 500 individuals, delivered nearly 1,800 nights of free accommodation, and awarded over £320,000 in direct financial support. All of this is made possible thanks to the passion of our small team and the generosity of our incredible supporters. We work side by side every day sharing ideas, celebrating each other's successes, and pulling together to support families when they need it most. Though part of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, and benefiting from NHS terms and conditions, we operate like a small charity: close-knit, agile, and full of heart.
