37.5 hours p/wk (Flexible Working)

We have a vacancy for an experienced Area Housing Officer in our Housing Management Team. You will undertake a wide range of activities, including estate and tenancy management, rent arrears recovery, anti-social behaviour management and resolution and customer liaison. You must have a good knowledge of housing legislation, together with an understanding of current housing and estate management issues and ideally you will have gained, or be working towards, a ‘Level 4’ professional housing qualification. You will be keen to use your initiative, be able to assess complex situations and make the right decisions. The successful applicant will be well organised, self-motivated and flexible in their outlook with a positive attitude towards customer care and service delivery.
A full driving licence and use of your own vehicle is essential.

Temporary – 2 year Fixed Term

We have a vacancy for a Housing Officer, or an individual with experience in a related field, to work with tenants

likely to be affected by Welfare Reform changes. Working in our Housing Management team, you will undertake a

wide range of activities, including providing information to those affected, supporting tenants who wish to move

to smaller accommodation or take in lodgers and ensuring that rent payments due are received. You will be keen to use your initiative and will be able to assess complex and challenging situations. The successful applicant will be well organised, self-motivated and flexible in their outlook with a positive attitude towards customer care and service delivery.
A full driving licence and use of your own vehicle is essential.

 

Lettings Assistant Ref: LEA061212

Permanent

Salary up to £20,357 per annum

37.5 hours p/wk (Flexible Working)

We have a vacancy for a Lettings Assistant in the Housing Management Team.

Working with the Lettings Officer, you will be responsible for the effective letting of Saffron’s properties and through provision of an efficient service, minimise re-letting times and loss of revenue. This will involve administering tenancy terminations and mutual exchange processes, providing administrative support to the

Lettings Officer and working closely with the Asset Management Voids Team. To be successful in the role requires strong organisational, administrative and interpersonal skills. You will also be self-motivated, able to use your own initiative and have a positive attitude towards customer care and service delivery.

The ability to use IT systems effectively, including MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook is essential.


Trainee Housing Manager Ref: THM061212

Temporary – 3 year Fixed Term

Salary up to £17,500 per annum

37.5 hours p/wk (Flexible Working)

We currently have an opportunity for a recent Graduate or school leaver with 3 A’ Levels (A-C grade) to start

a career in Housing Management. This post will be for a fixed term of 3 years and will enable the post holder to obtain experience in all areas of Housing Management, including estate and tenancy management, income recovery, customer involvement and resolution of anti-social behaviour whilst achieving the Chartered Institute of Housing professional qualification. You will be highly motivated, keen to use your initiative and be able to assess complex and challenging situations. The successful applicant will also be well organised and flexible in their outlook, with a positive attitude towards customer care and service delivery. Applicants will need to demonstrate strong communication skills and a high level of literacy and numeracy along

with the ability to use IT systems effectively.

A full driving licence and use of your own vehicle is essential.
