COPLESTON HIGH SCHOOL

Copleston High School is a popular, 11-18, mixed comprehensive noted for its caring and disciplined atmosphere. It was judged as a ‘good school with outstanding features’ by Ofsted in March 2009. There is a flourishing and newly refurbished sixth form with around 319 students. As a school we are committed to raising standards of learning and teaching within all subject areas but with a specific focus on PE and sport. Teacher of English

Temporary. Required asap, a teacher of English to join a highly successful and well qualified department

until 31 August 2013.

The Department achieves a high level of success at all levels and is extremely proud of its collaborative approach

to planning, delivery and assessment. In English we offer AQA Syllabus A GCSE English Literature and Language, AQA Syllabus B ‘A’ Level English Language Studies and AQA Syllabus A ‘A’ Level English Literature. We are looking to appoint a teacher at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 but this could be flexible.

Applications are welcome from both experienced teachers looking to broaden their experience or return to work,
