Scope works with disabled people of all ages and their families throughout England and Wales. We offer practical everyday support and deliver campaigns that can, and do, change people’s lives. Our vision is a world where disabled people have the same opportunities as everyone else.
Orchard Manor, Scope’s Transition Service, is designed for young disabled people aged 18–26 with complex care support needs, physical impairments and significant learning difficulties. Our person-centred approach supports young people to develop and enhance their social and life skills in preparation for adult life.
You will need enthusiasm and a determination to provide excellent support to disabled young adults. You will need good communication skills, a professional manner and a willingness to support with personal care, eating, drinking and all aspects of the person’s daily routines and activities.
You will work at Orchard Manor, in the wider community and sometimes in an individual’s family home. The role includes evening and weekend working.
Previous experience is always valued but not essential as we will provide induction, training and will support you to gain a Diploma in Health and Social Care.
The ability to drive would be an advantage.
