Orchard Manor Service
Meldreth near Royston Herts
Scope works with disabled people of all ages and their families throughout England and Wales. We offer practical everyday support and deliver campaigns that can, and do, change people’s lives. Our vision is a world where disabled people have the same opportunities as everyone else.
Orchard Manor, Scope’s Transition Service, is designed for young disabled people aged 18–26 with complex care support needs, physical impairments and significant learning difficulties. Our person-centred approach supports young people to develop and enhance their social and life skills in preparation for adult life.
Working with young adults with complex needs, you will be responsible for planning and leading development sessions both at Orchard Manor and in the community.
You will have experience of working in a service for disabled adults with complex needs and of delivering person centred development activities. A relevant teaching qualification or equivalent is required. Enthusiasm and a commitment to work hard, as part of a team, are essential.
The post will include evening and weekend work.
We particularly welcome applications from disabled people. The successful applicant will be subject to an Enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) check.
