NON EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR (DESIGNATE)

As an aspirant Foundation Trust we are looking to recruit a clinically qualified "designate" Non Executive Director (NED) as a key part of our Board’s succession planning. It is intended that the successful candidate will become a full voting member when a vacancy arises on the Board. We are looking for an exceptional candidate with recent medical, nursing or other clinical experience, with a relevant recognised qualification. Norfolk Community Health & Care NHS Trust provide community based care in and around Norfolk, offering a wide range of NHS healthcare services such as district nursing, health visiting and speech and language therapy, as well as almost 300 community hospital beds. We serve a population of around 870,000 people, making us one of the largest providers of community health and care services in the NHS. To be considered for this role you should be able to demonstrate that you have the necessary skills, experience and competencies required by the Trust. The successful candidate will play an important role in the strategic direction of the organisation and will participate on committees, task groups and attend Board meetings.

At interview you will need to demonstrate a range of competencies required to contribute effectively at board level including strategic thinking, team working and excellent communication skills. The time commitment is a minimum of two and a half days per month and remuneration is £6,096 pa. This may be reviewed in the event of achieving Foundation Trust status.
