Navigations Systems Technicians / Engineers
You will be responsible for the installation, support and maintenance of the navigation, positioning and communication systems onboard the company's survey vessels. Equipment will include satellite and acoustic positioning systems, VHF, HF, and VSAT communications, and autopilot, radar, AIS, GMDSS and other bridge equipment.
The position will be based at the company's head office in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, but the role will involve travel to vessels at ports and docks around the UK and worldwide. There may also be a requirement to spend short periods of time offshore in support of field operations. Candidates must undertake and successfully complete both an Offshore Safety course and an Offshore Medical examination. We are seeking to recruit technicians / engineers with relevant qualifications or experience in electronics, communications or related discipline. Knowledge of the offshore survey industry or offshore experience would be advantageous.
