Redwings was established in 1984 and today has grown to be the largest horse sanctuary in the UK working to save horses and ponies whose future would otherwise be bleak.
MAINTENANCE OPERATIVE
Salary £12896 per annum (40 hour week)
Permanent Position
Redwings Horse Sanctuary requires a Maintenance Operative to join the existing Maintenance Team based at our Hapton Head Quarters, south of Norwich with travel to other sites as required of the role.
Candidates will need to have experience in general building maintenance and be prepared to work outside in all weathers.
The ideal candidate will have experience of farm and land maintenance (fences, hedges, shelters and roadways). They will be able to work as part of a team in a reliable and flexible manner with good communication skills. Knowledge of safe working practices and the consideration of best practice and methods of work is essential.
The role involves undertaking a variety of maintenance tasks within the sanctuary, to enable the smooth running of all departments and ensure that they are carried out in a cost effective and professional manner that reflects the charitable nature of our organisation.
