NHS Norfolk & Waveney Commissioning Support Unit (CSU) is on an exciting journey - one that will see a transformation of the organisation as a customer-focused, commercially driven and ultimately an independent professional services organisation that will partner the development and delivery of high quality clinical commissioning throughout the region. Head of Healthcare Procurement (Band 8c, £54,454 to £67,134)
The Head of Healthcare Procurement is a pivotal role within the new CSU organisation and will lead the development of our overall procurement service strategy identifying opportunities to access scope and scale economies from "at-scale" provision whilst at the same time providing a service that is responsive to the needs of local Clinical Commissioning Groups. The post holder will provide leadership, vision and strategic direction on all procurement matters to ensure procurement processes are successful, achieving desired outcomes for NHS clients. As a proven MCIPS level qualified procurement professional you will have procurement experience in the public and/or private sector, preferably within the NHS and be able to evidence a track record in the delivery of complex and innovative procurement projects.
