Weston College has transformed itself in the last nine years and has maintained the position as one of the top performing colleges in the West of England Further Education College tables for the last four years.  As the College of choice we have significant success rates with examination achievement rates at 99.8% for A Level and 100% for vocational courses.

We continue to offer a wide range of courses to ensure you develop the skills employers and universities are looking for. We offer more than 100 vocational courses, 27 A Levels and an ever increasing range of very popular Apprenticeships.

We are the only education provider on your doorstep in North Somerset to be able to give you the opportunity to progress from an entry level course to a degree. Our Business Enterprise Centre is the specialist department of Weston College, which provides businesses and their staff, with high quality, flexible, work-based training and development programmes.  It also helps businesses access funding to support the costs of training, wherever possible and appropriate.  We work with over 1,000 employers across the region providing them with training solutions.

Over the last three years we have invested heavily in our buildings and facilities to ensure we offer our students the best possible resources in the South West.

Our state-of-the-art University Campus opened in 2007 and houses Arts, Media, Design, Music and a Sixth Form Centre. It also houses Degree Level education delivered in partnership with Bath Spa University.

Weston College’s Knightstone Campus also includes the latest technologies and state-of-the-art facilities including an industry standard fitness suite and gym, world class training kitchens and restaurant, a Higher Education Centre, an Electrical Installation Training Centre as well as a Learning Resource Centre.

Our third campus - the South West Skills Campus, located in an eight and a half acre site on Locking Road in Weston-super-Mare opened in September 2010. This campus contains our Progress courses, the Construction and Engineering Centre of Excellence and our bespoke Business Enterprise Centre.

In 2008 we received an exceptional Ofsted report which praised our rich and varied curriculum and described the support we give our students as "outstanding".

Weston College has served the education and training needs of its local community for more than 150 years. It has its origins in private drawing and painting classes provided by Henry Stacy in Oriel Terrace in 1859.

The School of Art was opened on 7 February 1865 under the auspices of the Government\\\\'s Department of Science and Art, and with the aid of £40 collected from local residents. In its first year of existence the Principal was the only teacher and approximately 80 students attended the six classes held weekly.

Since 1 April 1993, the College has been an autonomous public body.
