Archant is the UK\\\\'s largest independently-owned regional media business and can trace its roots back over 160 years. It is a community media company active in the fields of regional newspaper and magazine publishing, contract printing and internet communications. All its titles serve clearly defined communities, based around locations or interest groups.
The newspapers division, Archant Regional, produces four daily regional newspapers and around 60 weekly titles with a combined circulation of 2.25 million copies every week. It is a UK top five regional newspaper publisher. It also publishes many of the group’s 180 websites and a number of its magazines.
Archant London just one of the five divisions of Archant Regional, consists of 5 London based office locations (Ilford, Bethnal Green, North London, Gravesend and Sidcup). The media portfolio is made up of 35 newspapers and 30 local community websites. Newspapers have an audited readership of nearly 600,000 adults weekly and average weekly unique visitors to its websites in excess of 650,000 adults.
Archant London’s head office is located in Ilford. The Ilford office are not only responsible for advertising sales and publishing of the Ilford titles, but the head office also look-after production, marketing, circulation, digital and the finance department for the five London- based offices. The head office is also responsible for a number of awards and events; such as the London Business Awards, the Environmental Awards, the Property Awards, and the Food & Drink Awards. The digital team also design and create London’s online magazines which are used to enhance and complement London newspapers.
Archant also owns three magazine companies, which between them produce around 80 magazines. Archant Specialist, Archant Life and Archant Dialogue.
The Archant Print division has its main printing facilities at Norwich where it prints the majority of the group’s newspaper titles.
